I am David Lafuente (Gijon, 1982), a Spanish-born comic book creator and illustrator known for my work on books such as Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book.

I first broke into the US comic industry in 2008 drawing the sleeper hit miniseries Patsy Walker: Hellcat written by Kathryn Immonen. I then relaunched Ultimate Spider-Man with Brian Michael Bendis. My recent books include Spider-Ham, Superman, Harley Quinn and the Image series, Radiant Red.

In between 2022 and 2024 I worked on the video-game Planet Atmos as concept and story-board artist. Afterwards I co-created and launched the new ongoing series Sinister Sons published by DC Comics.

As of 2025 I’m freelancing as cover artist for US comic publishers like Image and Mad Cave, while also working as concept artist.

And I continue making comics in my spare time.
